Day 29 - I have learnt....

In this past month...

That to live, is to love every phase....

Not because everything is going well but because to dwell on the unfairness of life is to miss out on the treasures that surely abound.

So I've learnt (and I'm still learning) to embrace my now and be proud of who I am today. Knowing for sure that though the struggles remain, they are mere flames to perfection within my furnace of transformation.

I have learnt to love this me, cos without this me, how on earth do I want to appreciate tomorrow's me. She is the foundation of the me to be, and to love and embrace every phase, each today,  is to live in the full embrace of this adventure called life.

Most especially, I have learnt (and I'm still learning), that to be rigid is to risk the fate of falling apart. But to be fluid, willing to embrace the unknown sway of the wind (The Holy Spirit) wherever it blows, is to enjoy the exhilarating wonders of new experiences, within the safety of The One who's got me all planned out

You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. That’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.” John 3:8 ..

May I experience more of Him...Selah

Day 28 - A place I'd love to go

Without a doubt - Sydney Australia.

Since I stumbled upon the Sydney Opera House while carrying out a case study for one of my projects in school, I've always had the desire to visit the place for myself, I sure hope to make that a dream come true :)

Day 26 - On friendships

Nope, its not an error, yesterday's question get as e be so decided not to make a post on it. Was supposed to talk about what's in my handbag. Honestly don't know how I can make a post out of that.

On to today, What do I think about my friends?

I think I've been blessed with a great range of friends and each friendship satisfies its own unique purpose.

Those with whom I laugh and cry, those with whom I hang out on a boring day.

Those who can deal with the deep stuff, those who'd just rather dabble on the peripheral.

We've all changed through the years, like I love to say, life keeps happening to us. But all in all, I can confidently say...my friends are amazing and what I love the most about them (well most of them at least) is how they never fear to tell me the truth, even when it hurts.

I'm glad I have the friends I do :)

Day 23 - Cravings...

So I'm supposed to share something I crave for a lot...honestly though, as with a lot of other things in my life, I cant pick that one thing, so here's a picture of what I'm craving right now instead.

I'm not trying to be greedy, one slice would do just fine ;)

Day 19,20,21,22

Forgive me for merging all four days, at once :). I know you still love me despite ..muah...

What are the nicknames I have and why?

I have 3 nicknames but I'd stick with one for the sake of this post.

My blogger ID is a nickname, courtesy a very good friend and brother (whom I hardly communicate with these days sadly). He heard me sing way back when we were in college and he said I reminded him of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin (blush)...the name stuck ever since and I even still meet people who knew me from school screaming Jhazmyn at me across the street :) . BTW, I changed the spelling...just because :p..lol

Who is someone I see myself marrying or bring with in the future and why?

As I don marry, No other answer but my Olowo-ori mi , Mr D himself :) (Make Ekiti no hold family meeting on top my head abeg). Honestly though, for many reason, I'd choose this man over and over again, but I think the one trait that warms my heart the most is the fact that he's just as goofy as I can be and so we have tons of goofy moments. No pretenses, what you see is what you get. He's cool like that.

Post a picture of something that makes you happy.

Music BABY!!!

What makes me different from others?

Being ME makes me different, there's no two of me, and that right there, is the core of my difference!

And in conclusion.

Day 18 - Attention book lovers

What book(s) have you read that greatly impacted you and maybe changed your views on life?

Hmm, loads o, from "the art of war" to "The shofar blew" to "The threshing floor"..... The list is long o. But one book stands out, sadly, I can't remember the title.

My siblings and I got to read it way back when I was just getting into secondary school aka high school, we basically learnt the true meaning of forgiveness just by reading that book. We even coined the phrase "make lace in your heart", meaning allow the beauty that comes from forgiving grace your heart like a beautiful delicate piece of lace.

Here's a picture of my recent acquisitions, just got them today. Thanks to laterna ventures and terra kulture. Can't wait to dig in.

So how about you, what book(s) greatly impacted you and what are you reading now?

Hmm, If i want to start putting names ehn...e go tey...lol, but with everyone I think up, there's "one comma or the other", so in the words of @gbemisoke, If I was to make that switch, It'll be with THE FUTURE ME..

What about y'all, who's it gonna be

Day 16 - A lil' twist

Who says i cant do a 30-day blogging challenge in 60days? hehehe...Honestly though, I just couldn't wing it, I tried, i really did, but it didn't happen. So here I am, picking up from where I left off.. muah

DAY 16

A picture of yourself....LIKE REALLY!!!!! HOW MANY PICTURES OF ME DO I HAVE TO POST IN THIS CHALLENGE...lol

So to add a lil twist here's

1. My quote for the day

A perfect example of minority rule is a baby in the house (lolz, how true)

2. Song for the day - (this is inspired by @BaldBlackBoy 's love for Demi Lovato, I went searching for her songs after his numerous raves..lol, and I just love the depth in this number)

3. Grateful for - The joy of taking the journey to see your dreams come true. The yes-es the no-s the highs, the lows.
